 Working with Home Stretchers all starts with a flexible but rigorous design process: Ned Hengerer provides initial conceptual drawings with the client’s desired architectural style;  common sense and cost effective space planning; interior details and finishes (kitchen, bathrooms, electrical, HVAC); structural feasibility; and rigorous value engineering. Cost estimates are provided throughout, so budgetary control can be applied to the ongoing design process, not just at the final stage when it may be too late. The entire design process is covered by a single, extremely modest one-time fee; should the client proceed to construction with Home Stretchers, that fee is applied to the first draw, but the client has the option to use another builder.   Home Stretchers’ foreman, Drew Lukacs, has worked for Home Stretchers for many years (during high school and college summer vacations and full-time since 2011), until recently under the tutelage of master carpenter Stephen Lukacs.  Besides his project management expertise, Drew is a skilled and experienced carpenter (both rough and finish) who can handle smaller individual projects, both exterior like sheds, decks and porches, and interior. Home Stretchers is an official Hagerstown Kitchens contractor/dealer, so Drew has ready access to all manner of cabinetry which he installs.
